Difference Between Ultra And Mino

London and the snow

last week came the beautiful white snow in london. it snowed for a couple of days, now it's sunny, very cold, but no sign of snow.

back in 2008, while discussing the fact of moving to London, Luke told me: "Do not worry, it's true that it is grayer in Milan (possible?) But winter is cold and is less almost impossible !"... it Snow sacred words!

January 2009: returnees from a weekend lightning in Italy, our plane is the last to land at Gatwick airport runway closed due to snow. so much snow, all night and morning the city is wonderfully quiet. 20 years not seen so much snow. all blocked. you go around on foot, we've seen anything turn into sledding on hills of the park. beautiful.

December 2009: get ready for Christmas holidays in Italy, as gifts fit in a suitcase when a huge snowfall blocks of New London and its airports. chaos, especially at the airport. people stranded at the airport for days, with us, we managed 4 hours late and fortunately native Italian!

November 2010: The snow in November? were not seen in 25 years! and here we are again ... blanketed the city for the third year in a row! this time took only a few areas of London, we have very little, and had plenty of salt spread on sidewalks and streets (the luxury of living in the center), but to the south east they have fallen so much, at least 30 cm, closed off gatwick, stations etc! was last Thursday, the day also for my Christmas party of Random House! Mica I do so little to deter ... hat, gloves and my dotty weellies in a flash I was at the party, obviously with shoes with the heel of parts!
now continues to snow in Scotland, where the situation is really heavy, there's only so much cool!
and at home in London has something magical .. less magical is the mass of people who are crazy shoppers in the high streets, as if there was war and that was the last pair of pants available!
we have adorned our English attic, with a white tree and reindeer in the windows. 23, decorate the house Italian, with our classic tree, nativity scene and stars!
:-)
